PGHammer
I've gotten tired of jousting with the GPU Windmill on the Hack side, and I'm looking for a low-end (but *supported*) Hack GPU, when this jumped out at me today: http://www.palit.biz/main/vgapro.php?id=1398 (Specs on Palit nV GT430 PCIe) http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_...duct_id=0350194 (page showing same card at local MicroCenter - note the pre-rebate price) Advantages: Supports same connections as card it will replace, demands no additional electricity, has a greater amount of onboard RAM, supported better (in fact, directly) by vanilla SL (AFAIK). Disadvantagee: Requires DSDT redo (nitpick) Is anyone using a similar card (not necessarily from Palit) GPU in SL (especially 10.6.4 post-Graphics Update)? bulata
I am considering to buy one of these, just wanted to double check: does it work properly? does it by any chance work OOB?
Sasan
I have ASUS Nvidia GT430, I can confirm that GT430 can work with Nvidia Official fermi driver via customized Chameleon with GE=Y; The only issue is (No smooth transitions) and UI works with lag. If the above issue is solved then it can be a fully compatible GPU with OS X.
ADHDMedia
I'm using a Galaxy GeForce GT430 and I successfully got it working just today actually, full QE/CI acceleration and whatnot, but I'm surprised to find that HD video playback is terrible. On the PC side, playback is crisp and smooth. Anyone know of any ways to tweak performance now that I have it working?
