mootrix
Hello I am running Snow Leopard 10.6 retail on the latest #####. My motherboard is a Foxconn RC4107MA-RS2, graphics card is nVidia 7300 GS 256mb. I am wondering how I can get my resolution to 1440x900 and how I can get QE working? Also everytime i want to reinstall I have to put my windows disc into a different DVD drive (it gets errors on the one that works with OS X!) and delete the partition, otherwise i get a never ending dark grey screen. Whenever I restart I get this and have to reinstall, even after installing ##### with Chameleon to the HDD it just puts me into a restart loop. I tried the HDD in a different computer and it does the exact same thing, it's formatted in GUID partition table with HFS Extended Journaled, I think it is the 160GB SATA hdd, I can only get it t boot to install with IDE mode, I don't have AHCI, just RAID and Mass Storage Device. It worked fine before on other computer and then it started doing this after I messed up my install trying to get my video card to work so I moved it into this new PC, it boots after the installation and I am able to setup my account and use ethernet fine! pal0bre
To Fix You Resolution You Can Use EFI Studio To Edit com.apple.boot, add a graphics mode key and set it to your resolution, about qe, you might need NVkush, but try adding a efi string first, if that doesnt work then install a kext like nvinject or nvkush Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/236309-nvidia-7300-gs-256mb/#findComment-1577265 Share on other sites
