There is any way to run osx ( on a non-raid HD of course ) using the ICH setted to raid and see the RAID Partitions on the installed system ?

In other words i want to see the ICH Raid HDs in OSX.

Thanks, and sorry for the bad english :D

it's really complicated, IMHO only OSX ' Software Raid ' is possible !!!

please look here:

ICH10R Part 1 !!!

ICH10R Part 2 !!!

IMHO it's a wasting of time, there's no need for RAID, current HD's are fast enough ;)

you should buy one of these :

OSX compatible RAID Controller !!!

There is more uses for RAID other then just speed. Like a project I'm considering building using a NORCO 4U rackmount server case it has 20 hot swap bays.

Standard AHCI hotplugging is supported if your ICH10/ICH10R is set up correctly.

Be careful, some of the ICHx fixes that are available around here will disable hotplugging, I don't remember the details right now.

It's true, only Apple Software RAID works, unless you buy a RAID PCI controller with OS X drivers.
