Gigabyte GA EP45 UD3LR problems

hello, i followed the lifehacker guide...

http://lifehacker.com/5360150/install-snow...acking-required

... a year ago and had no problem.

my spec is as follows...

western digital 1tb hd green sata II

gigabyte GA-EP45 UD3LR

intel core 2 quad q9400 socket 775 2.66ghz

2x2gb corsair ram

PNY geforce 512 graphics card GH9800

so come to turn on the other day and it loaded into osx 10.6 but then froze after about 30mins.

as i tried to boot more, the less it would let me through the boot up process.

Until it would freeze or just come up with the grey screen with black box telling you to shut down and turn back on.

i have now tried to reinstall this method on a different HD but i cant seem to get any where.

If i follow the same guide, it loads the bootloader, then switches to a grey screen with apple logo and flashy circle under the logo and either just hangs there forever or the dark grey screen with black box comes up again.

I have tried moving my ram to the other 2 slots and im now running a memory test (http://www.memtest.org/)

and it just seems to running up loads of errors. (see pic)

im a bit stuck on what to try now, apart from the ram chips on their own and going to buy/borrow some more ram, if anyone has any ideas that would be great...

oh i have also tried the tonymac guide but cant for the life of me boot from the dvd i make with the #####. How ever the usb side of thing worked as far as i got with the lifehacker.

so hopefully some one can tell me what im doing wrong or what to try, thankssss

i think its a ram issue, just tried 1 ram chip on its own and it installed on my 2nd HD (160gig) and just tried the other one and it just flashes from dark to light blue on the osx boot up.

i think this means faulty ram, can anyone confirm?

also would a faulty ram chip cause the orginal install to corrupt?

as i plugged my first hackintosh install HD(1tb hd) back in and i get these errors...

So now i have swapped back to the 160gig HD i had just managed to setup this install back on, but now it wont boot into that or even into the bios

here's a perfect guide for this Board !!!

KakeWalk install Images !!!

is your BIOS current ? F11

CooSee ' Ya

cheers for that, after some messing about it seemed to work again and now boots back up fine on the new install.

I think the bios is F7, im not too sure how to flash it, or if i really need too??

I know the motherboard can get messed up if its not done right, and im a bit clueless on that side of things.

The only thing now, when the computer goes to sleep and i wake it back up the graphics card fan is spinning really really fast, any ideas??
