program or control panel for audio to adjust bass/treble? Equalizer?

OSX has been pretty cool but I miss more options to tweak hardware devices (Nvidia control panel to)

 

Wondering if there's an equalizer for audio cards (Mine is a AC888)

 

this is how audio controls would look in windows and they would effect any audio no matter software (I realize some individual software like VLC has their own built in equalizer but would be nice for system wide option)

OSX does have equalizers but there worth a pretty penny, but Mac has it's own look and windows has a shiny plastic looking GUI.

 

As for audio cards in OS X, no. But there is Apps for it.

when you say they have equalizers do you mean its hardware based not software? how come extra cost?

 

i'm used to devices in windows they would have their own software based control panel to adjust more settings for each hardware

If you are playing movies in Quicktime there are Bass, treble & balance controls

And Itunes (music) there is a 10 band equaliser.
