DanielPK
Hi guys...this is my second post i think ... Am typing this from OSX 10.6.2 Hazard's Distro...most of the important stuff are working fine such as SATA-ATA, Audio, Internet...etc EXCEPT for the GMA950 GPU. The issue am having is the inability to change resolution higher than 1024x768 due to not having other resolutions in the list. I tried the EFI string from the OSx86 Tool...still it gave me no luck...i wanted to know if there's anything else i can do to get my GMA950 working as it should Please if you are going to tell me to do a DSDT patch, then please include a tutorial on how to do it properly, as i've had many KP "kernel panic" before...as in Uncountable i have attached a report of system profiler just incase its needed... thanx in advance... P.S. am thinking of updating to 10.6.4 i read instructions on how to do it, but am not so sure if its recommended for my system or not iMac.rtf
oldnapalm
I suppose you are talking about a desktop computer. There's a DSDT patch http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=143340 You can apply using this editor, the patch is included http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=223205
Dellmantt
What is the device id of your card? Look in system profiler. if it is 0x2772 For 10.6.0-2 you will need the kexts below plus the EFI string from the boot.plist For 10.6.3-4 you only need the graphics enabler kext and no strings needed com.apple.Boot.plist.zip GMA950.zip
