  1. Not really sure what you're asking for except the how to set the boot partition. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>Kernel</key> <string>mach_kernel</string> <key>Kernel Flags</key> <string>"arch=i386"</string> <key>Default Partition</key> <string>hd(0,2)</string> <key>Timeout</key> <string>3</string> </dict> </plist>
  2. SL 10.6 + Combo 10.6.4

Try to boot with -s Then follow screen instructions to mount drive. Then do the dmesg command and post back - remember this is *nix - so the command is in lowercase not uppercase.
  3. These work: Dell Wireless 1510 Atheros AR9285 - supported in 10.6.4 now (natively)
  4. Mods, please remove this SPAM! And maybe block/delete this user.
  5. Thinkpad x60

For your card reader, do a lspci at the terminal and post result. You should get something like this: 15:00.2 SD Host controller: Ricoh Co Ltd R5C822 SD/SDIO/MMC/MS/MSPro Host Adapter (rev 18) You may have to load the lspci app. http://rapidshare.com/#!download|657|4...SRC_SL.zip|1119 This is the source code you'll have to compile it.
  6. error after successfully installing mac

Did you install the CPU Disable kext?
  7. help with darwin

Why not use Parallels or VMware? You can run a Virtualized Windoze session. I run VMware Fusion and have a Win XP/7/Ubuntu and Backtrack install. All run pretty nice on my Lenovo X60. Sorry, didn't really answer your question about using the same Time Machine partition (me don't know )
  8. When a major update comes out. Like 10.6.5 to be unleashed soon. Wait a couple days and check the forums to make sure there is nothing wonky with it. Worst thing is to roll back. With that said - do you keep a copy of your /S/L/E folder - just in case? Go register here: http://forum.thinkpads.com And read this post: http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.php?f...pe&start=60 One of the members hacked the VoodooHDA.kext and has sound plus the mic working!! There is a DL link in that post for it.
  9. [Help] Installing Snow Leopard

    Try this one: Snow_Leopard_10.6.1-10.6.2_Intel_AMD_made_by_Hazard
  10. Deinstallation

If you did not leave space for your Win setup when you partitioned the drive during the OS X install, then you'll have to get a disk partitioning utility and free up some space. If you hit the space bar during boot and then use the cursor keys, Chameleon will see the drives/partitions.
  11. Fixing the 'waking up from sleep' issue

10.5.8 was problematic for sleep. I have an Lenovo X60 and as soon as I upgraded to that crappy version, I could no longer sleep. Had to wait months for Snow leopard. Why not upgrade to Snow Leopard?
  12. I think you need to reboot with the DVD and choose only the PS/2 drivers to install.
  13. A bit of help if at all possible

Boot with -s at Chameleon screen mount the dive - there are command on the screen cd /System/Library/Extensions rm -rf the_bad_kext or mv the_bad_kext /tmp reboot your system
  14. Found a couple links: http://www.hackint0sh.org/f180/70856.htm http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...p;#entry1210407 Good luck.
  15. Deleting is the way to go. Either from /System/Library/Extensions or /Extra/Extensions/ There is a kexthelper application out there somewhere, but heck, you sound like you want to learn what to do instead of being told. You're probably looking for one of these in /System/Library/Extensions AppleHDA.kext HDAEnabler.kext VoodooHDA.kext Either move them out and reboot. Or attempt to unload them - they may not if a process is holding on to them/it. sudo unloadkext /System/Library/Extensions/AppleHDA.kext Good luck.
