(SOLVED) 10.6.2 Hazard GMA950 problem with strings and enabler

Hi guys...this is my second post i think ;) ...

Am typing this from OSX 10.6.2 Hazard's Distro...most of the important stuff are working fine such as SATA-ATA, Audio, Internet...etc EXCEPT for the GMA950 GPU.

The issue am having is the inability to change resolution higher than 1024x768 due to not having other resolutions in the list. I tried the EFI string from the OSx86 Tool...still it gave me no luck...i wanted to know if there's anything else i can do to get my GMA950 working as it should :afro:

Please if you are going to tell me to do a DSDT patch, then please include a tutorial on how to do it properly, as i've had many KP "kernel panic" before...as in Uncountable :( i have attached a report of system profiler just incase its needed...

thanx in advance...

P.S. am thinking of updating to 10.6.4 i read instructions on how to do it, but am not so sure if its recommended for my system or not :)

What is the device id of your card? Look in system profiler. if it is 0x2772

For 10.6.0-2 you will need the kexts below plus the EFI string from the boot.plist

For 10.6.3-4 you only need the graphics enabler kext and no strings needed

its a laptop actually the device ID: 0x27a2 and the revision ID: 0x0003...can i still use the kext u attached?? as i've tried using EFI strings it still didn't work :S here's my "com.apple.boot.plist" file:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">
<plist version="1.0">
<dict>
<key>Kernel</key>
    <string>mach_kernel</string>
    <key>Kernel Flags</key>
    <string></string>
    <key>Graphics Mode</key>
    <string>1280x800x32</string>
    <key>device-properties</key>
    <string>6d0000000100000001000000610000000200000002010c00d041030a000000000101060000027fff0400100000006d006f00640065006c0000000b000000474d4120393530200000004100410050004c002c00480061007300500061006e0065006c0000000800000001000000</string>
    <key>AAPL,HasPanel</key>
    <string>0x00000001</string>
    <key>model</key>
    <string>GMA 950</string>
<key>arch</key>
    <string>i386</string>
</dict>
</plist>

Probably can't use that kext.

But this search http://www.google.com.au/search?hl=en&...q=&gs_rfai=

finds this post http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=202817

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">
<plist version="1.0">

<key>Kernel</key>
    <string>mach_kernel</string>
    <key>Kernel Flags</key>
    <string></string>
    <key>device-properties</key>
<key>AAPL,HasPanel</key>
	<string>0x00000001</string>
	<key>model</key>
	<string>GMA 950</string>
    <string>6d0000000100000001000000610000000200000002010c00d041030a000000000101060000027fff0400100000006d006f00640065006c0000000b000000474d4120393530200000004100410050004c002c00480061007300500061006e0065006c0000000800000001000000</string>
