  1. Hey IM members I've recently finished installing and getting my OSX Lion 10.7.2 running on all 4 ...except something's wrong with the audio system. Am using AppleHDA and VoodooHDA 2.7.3 on ALC888, and it seems there's a bit of conflict from the input and output channels as i can hear the mic when i tap on it *isn't suppose to* ...i tried editing the plist with the following: <key>iGain</key> <string>0</string> <key>iMix</key> <string>70</string> <key>Mic</key> <string>0</string> that did absolutely nothing on my end, as turning the iGain will also turn my volume down. Currently am using an AppleHDA kext optimized for ALC888...i don't hear the mic clicks, but my entire audio volume is now close to nothing! all i hear are whispers ; Please guys, if there's any idea on how to solve this, then please share it it's the only thing stopping me from having the perfect Lion Hackint0sh Thanks a lot.

  8. Hi guys...this is my second post i think ... Am typing this from OSX 10.6.2 Hazard's Distro...most of the important stuff are working fine such as SATA-ATA, Audio, Internet...etc EXCEPT for the GMA950 GPU. The issue am having is the inability to change resolution higher than 1024x768 due to not having other resolutions in the list. I tried the EFI string from the OSx86 Tool...still it gave me no luck...i wanted to know if there's anything else i can do to get my GMA950 working as it should Please if you are going to tell me to do a DSDT patch, then please include a tutorial on how to do it properly, as i've had many KP "kernel panic" before...as in Uncountable i have attached a report of system profiler just incase its needed... thanx in advance... P.S. am thinking of updating to 10.6.4 i read instructions on how to do it, but am not so sure if its recommended for my system or not iMac.rtf
  9. Hi guys...first time posting here I have successfully installed Snow Leopard 10.6.2 Hazard...of course i had to boot with "cpus=1" or else nothing would work...my specs are as follows: Intel Core Duo 1.6GHz 3GB DDR2 Intel GMA950 (27a2) Realtek HD audio ALC833 Marvel Yukon 88E8038 500GB WD HDD 7200rpm anyhow! the selection i made was this: Mac_OS_X_10.6.1 Mac_OS_X_10.6.2 Chameleon_RC3_PCEFI_10.5 AppleHDA ALC883 VoodooHDA Marvel_Yukon_88E8056<<<(not the right driver for my device) SMBIOSResolver This is exactly what i had selected in the customize window! NO kernels and CMOS fixes. After the install finished, i got my first KP "kernel panic" ...restarted the pc and second boot it went fine all the way! ...now the only problem i have is with the display resolution and the ethernet not working as those 2 used to work flawlessly on my 10.5.2 installation! ...i tried patching the DSDT but got a kernel panic fixed it with a reformat...not even "-x" boot flag could get me past it. My questions are: 1) Can i get a higher screen resolution than what the crappy default driver is currently allowing? (1024x768) instead of (1280x800). 2) Is there a way of getting audio from the headphones instead of the standard speakers? back in 10.5.2 VoodooHDA would do the trick, but not on 10.6.2! 3) Getting my NIC to work...i've tried many different solution which involve changing the vendor ID and all that...nothing worked! any other way of going around this? 4) Anyway that i could boot both CPUS instead of 1? if so, is it possible on my specs? 5) Anyway to automate the "extensions permission" process? instead of having to do it manually through OSX86 Tools and Kextutil? Thanx in advance!
