You didn't use "nano" did you? I intended you to use the previous nano command: sudo nano /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist yess its ok now..i think its saved cos i reopened terminal and did he command. reboot? Things like Quicktime and Java and iTunes are OK to update.
