Ok so here is what I have. I have an AMD Thuban 6 core 1090t, MSI 890fx-gd70 motherboard, and XFX Radeon 5770. Is there anyway to do a snow leopard install on my pc? Is this stuff supported? Which kexts will I need? Any links would be great. Thank guys. Oh and one more thing: I'm not one of these guys that wants everything handed to them. I've looked I just can't find any info on this hardware

I have this combo too, but I have a 5850 instead of a 5770. If anyone could provide any insight on maybe what kexts might be applicable or what flags might work with systems that have similar components.

I can never get to the install screen . It always hangs on some insignificant command, or otherwise, it says waiting on root device.

I have the same setup as the first post. I was able to get the installer loaded using Nawcom's ModCD found here:

I found that the install drive and boot hard drive CANNOT be on the jmicron chipset, otherwise it hangs and you get "still waiting for root device". Connect them to any of the white SATA ports and it should be fine though.

It seems to be installing just fine now, I'll update this post when it finishes.
