1. Trouble booting after update to 10.6.6

I actually used the Nawcom Boot CD booted, swapped with install disk, then installed. Booted the os with Nawcom, updated, then used ##### to install all the kexts and rollbacks. Did you ever manage to get your audio working? I've tried everything and can't get it to work for more than 1 minute, with the voodoo kexts.
2. Trouble booting after update to 10.6.6

HAHA got it working, installed Chameleon RC5 ati, with graphics enabler.
3. Trouble booting after update to 10.6.6

^^Thanks for that, but I'm not sure I need to reinstall OS X again... I've narrowed it down the the graphics card. I put in an older stock Mac Pro 7300GT I had kicking around and it booted right up. I did some more searching, and many people said to use the expiramental Chameleon RC5 and 64bit apple boot screen, but that didnt work either. Is this video card somehow not compatible? I know that OS X supports 5870s, I have one in my Mac Pro. Any thoughts?
4. Trouble booting after update to 10.6.6

Been trying some new things with ##### 3.2, still having trouble though. Immediately after the update to 10.6.6, i ran #####, installed all the necessary kexts (maybe i'm missing some?) and restarted, now it's hung up on: "ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin::start - waitForServive(resourceMatching(AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement) timed out W836x: found unsupported chip ID=0x5 REVISION=0x41 AppleTyMCEDriver::start coreVIDPID = 0xFFFFFFFFFF Number of packages = 1 Number of cpus = 8 memory monitor through MCA" PLEASE SOMEONE HELP, most of my hair is gone at this point... lol EDIT: Also, the HD status LED is stuck ON at the point that it crashes.
5. I've been screwing with this new machine for about a week now, trying to get 10.6.6 running stable on it. I've tried every boot disk from ##### to nawcom to kakewalk, and they all work until I update to 10.6.6. I'm able to get everything running, except for graphics drivers which I havent tried. Then After the 10.6.6 update, it loads almost all the way, then gets stuck at "com.apple.driver. ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin : start" or something like that. It doesn't help to boot in safe mode. it's an i7 950, EVGA x58 SLI3 motherboard with a Diamond 5870 1GB. Can somebody give me some advice? Thanks!
6. AMD 6 Core 1090t and MSI 890fx-gd70

I have the same setup as the first post. I was able to get the installer loaded using Nawcom's ModCD found here: http://blog.nawcom.com/?p=446 I found that the install drive and boot hard drive CANNOT be on the jmicron chipset, otherwise it hangs and you get "still waiting for root device". Connect them to any of the white SATA ports and it should be fine though. It seems to be installing just fine now, I'll update this post when it finishes.
7. Installation Porb. Mac Snow Leopard

Try using the Nawcom ModCD found here: http://blog.nawcom.com/?p=446
8. Model ID Problems

LOL i saw that right after i posted. I do really appreciate the reply though. Worked excellent. I even guessed the memory type to be 20 and it came out to DDR2 FB-DIMM in SYstem Profiler. PERFECT. Now my last issue is the processor type, it shows as Core 2 DUo even though I have Xeons. How do I go about changing this? Ok, so it's in that link you posted, but not for Xeons. Do we not know how to get xeons to display yet?
9. Model ID Problems

So, I got 10.6.4 installed on my Supermicro x7dal using the retail install method. It took very minimal work to get it working, just install pcefi 10.6 on the install disc and a couple of the kexts. Now my only problem is that the model id shows up in system profiler as an iMac8,1. My system almost exactly resembles a first gen Mac Pro with dual dual core 2.66 xeons, intel 5000x chipset and ddr2 5300 FBDIMMs. I've been searching on how to change this Model ID and cant find anything conclusive or helpful. I've tried changing it in appleSMBIOS.kext, but it doesnt work, usually only changing the model then nothing else such as processor info or memory info. I've read some places that it's built into the kernel during install, but I don't believe this is the case, but if I'm wrong please correct me. Help would be much appreciated! THANKS!!!
10. Help with SL on Supermicro X6DAE-G2

Anybody? Anything? Please?
11. I've been tinkering with my system, finally got Leopard on it, and up to date with 10.5.8. It's running great now, with few problems. The only problems right now are that theres no shadow behind the cursor, QE, CI and QGL are all supported or hardware accelerated. The other problem is the Built in ethernet won't work. It shows up in System prefs but says cable unplugged. I checked around in the Bios and theres nothing there, also i booted windows to make sure it didn't shut down the controller. The weird part is, I had leopard 10.5.4 on this before and the ethernet worked perfectly. If anyone has any suggestions on this, then please tell me. But that's not what this post is about. I'm wondering if anyone can help me with Snow Leopard on this thing. I've tried a number of times now, with several different how to's, but none have successfully booted. Either it always reboots immediately after the bootloader screen, or it kernel panics immediately. Using -v with the kernel panic, it shows a bunch of yellow "failed to load kext" lines. Also, can anyone guide me through a step by step on how to patch my DSDT correctly? The DSDT patch GUI generally works, but i have to use the force compile option, where it then says it has about 8 errors and a bunch of warnings. Thanks!!! P.S. System Specs: Supermicro X6DAE-G2 Dual Xeon 3.2GHz 3GB DDR2 3200 ECC nVidia GTS 250 my choice of either 250, 500 or 1tb Western digital SATA HD.
12. Help with MSI X58 "Can't find custom"

I get the same error on my Supermicro X6DAE. I don't know what "Can't find custom" means. This system boots and works great on 10.5.7, with all versions of Chameleon. With snow leopard though, it comes up with this error no matter the version. I've even tried RC3
