Blah101
Just a suggestion, use two separate drives. It is much easier and less problematic. Plus if you have a problem with one OS the other one is not messed up. Drives are inexpensive, so you could just go and buy a small HDD for around 50$. ~Blah Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/230414-dual-booting-windows-7-and-snow-leopard/#findComment-1539649 Share on other sites

14irahtom
There is no need to mess with the Windows partition. All you have to do is make a second partition from Win7 and then using disk utility (during install) format as Mac OS Extended and choose MBR table. With the patched dvd, chameleon should be an option for bootloaders. Chameleon RC5 picked up my existing Windows 7 partition. No more EasyBCD {censored}. Blah101
Ok how bout an easier questionHow do i install windows 7 after i installed snow leopard?? Sorry for the late response. I too have an old IDE drive, what I did was bought a IDE to Sata converter, it is like 15$ and I have no trouble running my IDE drive in AHCI mode. I installed windows 7 on it while all my other drive were disconnected (CD drive was connected) and then after booting into it alone and doing all my updates, I connected my SL drive that had chameleon on it and Windows was recognized off the bat, no issues what so ever booting into it. ~Blah Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/230414-dual-booting-windows-7-and-snow-leopard/#findComment-1541188 Share on other sites
