Can anyone give me any help:

I have a G31M-ES2L ver.2 and a ATI 4550 video card.

I cannot get OSX 10.6 with ##### VANILLA to startup except with -x safe mode switch, before and after install of OSX. I have sucessfully installed ##### and 10.6.4 update. I still can only boot using -x switch. With -x OS boot in safe mode with only 1024x768.

During ##### install and now after OS installed with 10.6.4 update the OS starts to boot everything seem ok (No Kernel Panics) but the video just corrupts with jibberish over all or part of the screen. Looks like white corrupt image or part image. Monitor is hooked up via DVI.

I have tried both ##### methods with and without DSDT. everthing else ie. RTC Cmos reset seem fine.

Thanks for any help.

I have basically exactly the same problem with my Gigabyte 4550, Can boot to safe-mode on 10.6.4 with 1024x768 and no graphics acceleration, but if I boot without -x it looks like it's almost about to get into the OS then the screen goes all messed up. I've tried with both VGA and DVI.

I've Googled the hell out of this problem myself with no luck. has anyone had any success getting this card working?
