joechip123
Like the title says, I'm looking for a suggestion for a wireless card for a P55-UD2 Gigabyte MB. Unfortunately, the friend I'm building this for needs wireless to get internet in his home, so ethernet isn't an option. I've looked all over for suggestions, and I feel like I can't find them, or I don't understand something about how these things work. This Rosewill USB device says it's OSX 10.6 compatible - will it work on a hackintosh? Rosewill RNX-N1 IEEE 802.11b/g/n USB2.0 Wireless-N 2.0 Dongle Or would a PCI card work better? Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/228774-wireless-for-ga-p55-ud2-hackintosh/ Share on other sites
Jocelyn84
Assuming your friend plans to only run in 32 bit and doesn't need the X4 slot, I'd just pick up a Dlink DWA-556. It works out of the box and shows up as airport. neil43
I use AirLink101 USB device model AWLL6075, labeled "Golden N", which is a small $12 USB device with b/g/n connectivity. AirLink101 has several models and some are even smaller then the AWLL6075. There is an OS X install package. neil Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/228774-wireless-for-ga-p55-ud2-hackintosh/#findComment-1532502 Share on other sites
joechip123
Thanks for the replies. He does want to run in 64 bit, so we won't go with that one. Does the Airlink101 work for you in 64 bit, Neil? Thanks!
