blkhockeypro19
iOS 4.0.2 is now available. As expected. it fixes the PDF exploit, protecting your phone from dangerous PDF vulnerabilities like Jailbreakme.com If you like your jailbreak, do not update! TH3L4UGH1NGM4N
I think I like my JB a wee bit too much to take the plunge into updating It's not like Apple introduced anything new except covering the exploit Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/228273-ios-402-released/#findComment-1529346 Share on other sites

wangerman
The Dev Team will more than likely wait on this until 4.1 to release a new jailbreak if they have one I can't imagine they will risk a new exploit on a minor update. Best thing to do is upload you shsh to sauriks server and sit tight, anyone already on 4.0.2 might be in for a long wait just like those who were stuck on 3.1.3 for ages. TH3L4UGH1NGM4N
@ wangerman: nah, you can downgrade from 4.0.2 down back to 4.0.1 and still JB but the only side effect is that the BB(base band) has been updated in 4.0.2 and you know when the BB goes up, it defies the laws of physics and stays up there. True but only if you have saved your shsh's I didn't know about the baseband though what is it on 4.0.2? TH3L4UGH1NGM4N
Yeah you'd have to have saved your SHSH on saurik or on tinyubrella and my friend just told it's 2.10.1 I'm still laughing at him for accidentally upgrading. tonkpils
Hi all, i see on the internet lot's of rumors on jailbreaking the 4.0.2, but at the end i understood is better to downgrade to 4.0.1 for the time being... Mine is brand new, when i switch it on it ask me to connect to Itunes... Please!!! point me to a reliable tutorial on how to do this and then the jailbreak. thanks all! TH3L4UGH1NGM4N
This isn't the right part of the forum to post an explanation on how to do this. This is just for news related stuff not tutorials on JB on a certain iOS version. 168088
the best part of 4.0.2 is it keeps the old baseband, when the 4.1 jailbreak release, u can unlock it immediately by updating without baseband change!!!
