rimmi2002
Hi I did an retail SL install with DSDT.aml for GA-P35-DS3l mobo. All specs in sig. Everything works great. Sleep/shutdown/etc. Only problem is that I have very slow transfer rates when copying files from the DVD to the the HD. Its takes almost 5 to 6x as long as Win7. My DVD drive is _NEC DVD_RW ND-3500AG its a IDE drive. I have running in AHCI mode in win7 and SL. My dsdt.aml is attached. Please advise. Thanks. dsdt.aml.zip
Gringo Vermelho
How did you get an IDE drive to run in AHCI mode?
rimmi2002
Not sure but it works....I was wondering the same thing...but it works fine for win7. Very slow for Mac. Is the issue here that the drive is IDE?
rimmi2002
So then is having an IDE drive the reason for slow DVD transfer speeds? The drive working under AHCI mode transfers fine in win7.
Gringo Vermelho
I don't know what you're doing but it's not technically possible for an IDE drive to run in AHCI mode. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Advanced_Host...oller_Interface
