ValJr
Anybody try that already? I have two ATI HD 5770 from XFX both work flawless one at the time. I need to find a way to run both at the same time. I don't care about Crossfire/SLI, what I need is 4 displays at the same time. There is a sticky around here somewhere about dual cards, you basically have to create an EFI String for them. My second 5870 should be arriving in the next day or so (thanks to another unbelievable bargain!), I'll be giving it a shot myself then. I am waiting for the release of the New Mac Pro driver. They came with 2 x HD 5770. no_clue
Hi guys, I'm dumping my 2 x HD4850's and am seriously contemplating 2 x 5770's to drive 4 x 24" monitors. Has anyone been successful in running dual 5770's with 10.6.5 now? I'm more than desperate to get this happening. Any tips / thoughts / suggestions will be much appreciated! Thanks in anticipation, cheers Peter PS. I'm thinking the Giga-byte Silent series? Ya, I have two xfx ati 5770 cards running in crossfire in my hackintosh, all works fine, just use Kabyl's boot loader. I attached my boot and plist for you. Just make sure you have these three items in your plist, change the gmode to whatever your resolution is: <key>AtiFb</key> <string>Vervet</string> <key>Graphics Mode</key> <string>1920x1080x32</string> <key>GraphicsEnabler</key> <string>Yes</string> It may boot to a bluescreen that lasts for a minute, just leave it sit and it'll kick in after a minute or so.
