catstrat
Hey all, Excuse me if this is a noob question. Ive just installed Snow Leopard OSX86 (Hazard) on my MSI VX600 notebook. The install went well and concluded with the "Success" screen. After after restarting it gave me an option to "press any key to choose startup options" when I select the default a box appears telling me that "You need to restart your computer. Hold down the Power button until it turns off, then press the Power button again". I do so: following this the same process occurs except this time a grey screen with an apple in the middle appears. This screen just hangs. If anyone could provide me with some adivce on whats going wrong here Id very much appreciate it. cj95
You always need to boot with -v option to see what's going on and where it hangs... dothacker
And word of advice: Even if the install says "Successful"... that's not always the case. The install will go through, but if you miss an important file (let's say for example, you forgot to install a modified kernel and your computer doesn't support a vanilla kernel), it'll crash/hang on reboot. Like some knowledgeable people mentioned on another topic, installing OSX in your PC has a great learning curve in it. You need to research, study, and keep trying until you get a running, stable OSX. next time you boot, try putting a -v flag, like mentioned abve.
