edwardzhouquan Posted July 18, 2010 Share Posted July 18, 2010 Hello,every InsanelyMacers! I have successfully installed Snow Leopard 10.6.3 Retail dmg on my newly buyed AMD-PC. However, when I tried to figure out my SoundCard, nothing happend, or just crashed down. I've tried VoodooHDA.kext, all versions ,not work. The kext of ALC888 or ALC889a not work yet. Also , Some documents say that AppleHDA-Patcher & LegacyHDA-Patcher with DSDT just work only on Intel, not for AMD...... Ooooooops......... Does anybody can give me a guide, how to work out my soundcard? Thanks My computer's summary: CPU: AMD Phenom II X2 550 Black Edition Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-880GM-UD2H with ATI HD4250, and Realtek ALC892 Memory: 2G A-DATA DDR3 1600 Harddisk: Segate 1T and Details for my SoundCard from Everest: Device Description Realtek ALC892 Device Description (Windows) Realtek High Definition Audio Device Type Audio Bus Type HDAUDIO Device ID 10EC-0892 Subsystem ID 1458-A102 Revision 1003 Hardware ID HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0892&SUBSYS_1458A102&REV_1003 Can Anybody helped me?? or give me an instruction link? After installing the AppleAzaliaAudio.kext, my ALC892 SOUNDS, although accompanied with a lot of "zzzz"-noise when playing music. I am now trying to fix it.... p.s. AppleAzaliaAudio.kext do not include mic or headphone options...... oooooops, sorry SIRBOW2, I have miscliked the "REPORT" button on your reply..... I just want to reply oh well i got my soound working use the latest experimental v262 you can find it HERE make sure you get snow or leo, which ever one you need, install it to your /S/L/E folder with Kext Helper or something. it wont work in /E/E i only got audio out on headphones(front case connector), HDMI, and SPDIF. mic(front and back) you have a similar mobo so you will prob get the same or similar but i guess its better than none Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
