errandwolfe Posted July 24, 2006 Share Posted July 24, 2006 I have already applied the Koverg patch but I can not seem to get Callisto working, I have tried beta 8 and the fixed beta 3. Both tell me that CallistoHAL was unable to load. I have followed all direction properly using the same process I got Callistio working with my x200. Any ideas? errandwolfe Posted July 26, 2006 Author Share Posted July 26, 2006 OK, this is weird as heck....I thought my kext files might have been the issue, so after backing up my current kexts, I copied over the ones from 10.4.3. I rebooted and was stuck at the black screen when I should have gotten the login window. So booted up in single user and copied back the extensions I had backed up. Rebooted and low and behold I seem to have full support. QE/CI now working as well as dynamic resolution change. I have NO idea why it would work now considering these are the same kexts I was using when it wasn't working. If anyone has any idea WHY this might have happened please post as it may help others in the future. Wish it was that simple, but trust me I know any time I make a kext change to delete those two files before reboot. Also just to head off the other "easy" answer, also made sure all my permissions were correct.
