ergot Posted July 16, 2010 Share Posted July 16, 2010 HI I have installed 10.6.3 on my Asus with Core i7 and 12GB DDR3 1066, My GPU is 8400GS 256 I even have dual boot with W7 Everything is working fine except: - no QE/CI I cannot work without it although i have full resolution - About this mac, showing me the right CPU information included OC for CPU but memory is not right, showing DDR2 667 instead of DDR3 1066 HOw can I fix those issues?? The successful installation took me like 7hr of trying different method and kexts to have this build, btw I have installed SL on a SAS drive with a SAS controller LSI which took me some time to figure out how to... I really need this QE/CI enabled , about this mac ram is not that importent to me now however another question is, is my system will "think" that i have DDR2 667???? or it is just a cosmetic issue? kup Posted July 16, 2010 Share Posted July 16, 2010 For the ram issue, use AsereBLN v1.1.9 Bootloader. As for the GFX it's better asked in the GFX forum but as you're here...Google for EFI Studio GTX and use that to generate an EFI string for your card. Thanks Ergot, Any guidance for a fellow P6T Ws Pro owner? I've been trying for months to get this working right, and always chalked it up to my 5850 GFX causing issues. Now that Netkas has a working driver (and apple is releasing support in the new Mac Pros), my hope is renewed. Can you point me in the direction for what you used to make it work? Would you also mind posting your DSDT? Thanks!!
