Nesagwa
I got it all installed and everything worked fine. First I installed the Marvel/Yukon drivers so that my internet would work, it did. Then I installed Firefox and made the dock a little smaller. Then I changed my resolution to my monitors default in the plist like the guides say to. Now I get this screen during the boot process: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v150/nesagwa/IMG_1363.jpg It just hangs there. I have the following hardware -AMD Athlon64 2800+ -ATI Radeon 9800 Pro -Asus K8VSE Deluxe Thats all the hardware I have installed, no wifi cards or anything are plugged in. Anyone know a quick way to get in there and fix this Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/22487-ati-9800-pro-128mb-agp/ Share on other sites
Nesagwa
I tried editing out the <string>1280x1024x32</string> from the plist but even when I put sudo in front of the command it doesnt let me overwrite the changes to the file Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/22487-ati-9800-pro-128mb-agp/#findComment-148939 Share on other sites
oiasdas
Did you run software update? If you did, your installation is hosed and you need to reinstall. Took me probably 5 reinstalls to figure out that i am retarted. You cannot install the software updates on system files, everything else is ok. Nesagwa
Not unless it does it automatically I didnt. I just tested this. I installed callisto, restarted, everhything was fine. It didnt work so I followed the given steps to remove it and put the original back. Then I changed the com.apple.boot.plist and added my resolution, restarted, same problem. I tried changing the com.apple.boot.plist back to the default, but it doesnt seem to be making the changes (even after it says it did). So this is very frustrating OK! Started it in "GraphicsMode"="800x600" and its actually booting correctly. Very strange, but at least I can actually edit the plist and make it stick. Rammjet
You might want to investigate this AGP driver: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=20139 in conjunction with the Callisto driver Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/22487-ati-9800-pro-128mb-agp/#findComment-155806 Share on other sites
