Can't boot from iAtkos S3 DVD

Hi there,

I can't boot with iAtkos S3 DVD on my Dell Studio 1749. Chameleon loads fine, but when I choose Mac OS Installation in it, my system reboots without any error message. If I don't put "-v" for verbose mode in Chameleon, I can see Apple logo a half second, and then the system reboots.

Any suggestion ? If you need more details, do not hesitate to ask me.

Thanks,

Hick_Jeck

Okay, it seems to be some iAtkos S3 kexts that are killing the boot. Am I right ?

How do I do if I want to install Snow Leopard with my Retail version ? Where to find the right kexts for my configuration ? Which one to choose for my Dell 1749 ?

Wifi, Ethnernet Bluetooth, Sound, Ati graphic card, touchpad, keyboard, TrialBoot (Windows 7, Ubuntu 10.04, Snow Leopard) and eventually the webcam must work at the end. Do you think that it's possible ?

Studio 1749 : Intel i5-430M(2,26GHz) Mobile CPU

Écran : 17,3po HD+ (1600X900)

Webcam : 2.0 megapixel Webcam

Memory : 4096MB (2x2048) 1067MHz DDR3 Dual Channel

Disques durs : 500Go SATA (7200tr/min)

CD/DVD : 8X DVD+/-RW

Alimentation : Inspiron 90W CA Adaptateur

Battery : Principale 9 cellules 85Wh LI-ION

Graphic Card : 1 Go ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650

Sans fil : Europe Dell Wireless 1397 (802.11 b/g) (Chipset BCM4312 rev2)

Sans fil : Label wireless CI5

Sans fil : Europe Dell Bluetooth 365 Carte

Clavier : French AZERTY

Hi,

i have same problem with very similar notebook

Toshiba Satellite L670

CPU: Intel i5-430M(2,26GHz) Mobile

Monitor: 17,3po HD+ (1600X900)

Memory : 4096MB (2x2048) 1067MHz DDR3 Dual Channel

HDD: 640 GB (5,400 tr/min)

DVD: Super Multi DVD

Graphic Card: ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 5650 1GB DDR3

etc.

Did you manage to work everything on your Dell? I wanted to make same thing as you, trialboot and when i started installation of iatkos s3 v2 same thing happens as in your case.

Does anybody have any suggestions?

Thanks

I had the same problem too ~

But now , the problem has gone with the wind ~

I'm using ##### to boot the iAtkos 10.6.3, it works well ~

you need none of options but a click of ENTER ~

that's my feeling ~and very good ~

Is it patched with VIAATA patch?

I had to patch mine before it worked (or you can run the install from OS X by showing hidden files, then going to /System/Install/Packages and running OSInstall.mpkg)

Another thing you can try is -f flag, this is how I got my install to boot, I was getting a reset screen that instructed me to press and hold power button... Booted with -f and it went away, all drivers loaded.. No clue.
