Swad
I was thinking about the Cube today and thought that it would make a great Hackintosh. I'd love to get an old one (in good shape), pull out the guts and replace it with an m-atx conroe or something (when that particular arrangement is available.) Does anyone have any experience modding one? I've looked at cubeowner.com and a few other places but thought I'd see what ya'll had to say. seero
I had found a project, already some time ago, about a cube mod on mini-itx.com. Tutorial with pictures : http://www.mini-itx.com/projects/g4pc/. On cubeowner.com, this one is really great : Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/22289-cube-mod/#findComment-147465 Share on other sites

One, you dremel the life out of similar to this one here.... http://www.gordyhand.co.uk/gallery/main.php?g2_itemId=1235 The second you stuff 1.5gb ram into, upgrade the CPU to at least a 1.2 G4, upgrade to a superdrive, and stuff a modded nVidia AGP 6200 from strangedogs.com (http://strangedogs.proboards40.com/) ..add a low decibel fan and you have a really really useable day to day machine with QE and CI. I love the irony that I can use nVidia in the cube Part me from my cube? Cold dead fingers, etc.... //R I had found a project, already some time ago, about a cube mod on mini-itx.com.Tutorial with pictures : http://www.mini-itx.com/projects/g4pc/. On cubeowner.com, this one is really great : <snipped> Thats a replacement enclosure - Powerlogix make them - its bigger than the original to allow better airflow and cooling. Available in White Black and clear. http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/accelerator...ube-Enclosures/ //R Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/22289-cube-mod/#findComment-147671 Share on other sites
seero
sandwer > Thank u for the link ! I didn't know this replacement enclosure. I wanted to realize a mod with a cube too, but it's difficult to find a cube enclosure in France, even on ebay.
