I use chameleon trunk boot, GraphicsEnabler=Yes and Atisupport, Atiframebuffer and Ati5000 from Lion. No, this method isn't acer dependant (the one you mean is the first topic in this forum talking about this, and it works just with 3 laptop from acer). This is for all laptops that have this graphic.
