Sai.Raghu.31
Hello Everyone, I made an earlier post requiring assitance on how to dual-boot both Mac OS X 10.6 and Windows 7 on my Dell Inspiron 530 but no one responded. So I decided to continue my research and try to install it myself. I just need a little bit of help in determining the most compatible and by "most compatible" i mean, the Mac version that will run with the least errors. I was thinking about using iPC 10.5.6 version, but I'm not sure if that will install all the drivers that I need. The specs of my computer are: Processor is: DG33M03, Quad core 2.4 Gigahertz processor, 3GB Ram, ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT and Integrated 7.1 channel audio. Please recommend to me the OSx86 flavor thats most compatible and also the version of Mac that I should download. Thanks a lot for any help given. Also, this is a side note that I was wondering: If I were to install a certain version of Mac like an older version, would it be possible for me to upgrade to the Snow Leopard 10.6.4 or do I have to work on the Mac version that i installed? Or does this all depend on the installation? Thanks again

This GUY
Are you still looking for an answer? Honestly, any "flavor" that boots successfully will work. The only catch is that you have to have the correct .kext files for your hardware. There is no one version that will install everything out of the box. I would recommend finding out what all you have for your hardware and write it down. Then install any of the OSx86 versions and find your hardware kexts another computer, put them on a flash drive, and use a kext installer to install them on your hackint0sh. No one said installing Mac OS X on a pc is gonna be a walk through the park. MAKE SURE YOU CAN FIND THE KEXTS FIRST
