neil43
I would run windows as a VM. I use VMware Fusion 3.1 and run WinXP/SP3 that is rock solid stable and very fast. OBW my hack is running an i7-860 with 8GB of memory. neil Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/221165-install-windows/#findComment-1488912 Share on other sites
spaas
I'd advice to do the same, you can give VirtualBox a go too.. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/221165-install-windows/#findComment-1488987 Share on other sites
Beerkex'd
I use Parallels Desktop and run Windows XP Pro SP3 in full screen mode on my second display, it's like having a second computer. Surprisingly it's fast enough to play Quake 3 engine based games and even some DX7 games. Beerkex'd
It's possible but Windows likes to have the boot sector to itself. If you install Windows to your second partition you will no longer be able to boot into OS X. Of course there are ways to prevent/fix that. Go here for guides and more information: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showforum=104 The 100% painless way is to simply install Windows on another hard drive. After installing, You can use Chameleon on your OS X drive to select which OS to boot.
