I have a clevo W870CU i core7 laptop with nvidia gtx285. I installed snow leopard retail using tonymacosx86 i-boot

supported cd. Everything works with a custom dsdt. 8-cores + speedstep. All video outputs etc... with fully

accelerated graphics. The only things that didn't work was the wifi card because it was incompatible and sleep. I

tried to fix sleep by adding all fixes I could find to dsdt but it didn't work. Today I got a bcm4322 mini pci card that

was immediately detected as a third party wireless card and works flawlessly. Now here comes the weird part. Since

I installed the new bcm4322 sleep suddenly works. But if I resume from sleep the airport turns off and the only way

to turn it back on is to restart the computer. When I click turn on from the menu nothing happens. If I delete my

wireless network from network preferences and the password from keychain and disconnect from the network,

airport is still functional after sleep. It must have something to do with keychain. I delete all preference files related

to wireless and keychain but it didn't help. My only solution at the moment is to connect without checking "remember

this network". Any ideas how to save the network without getting this problem?

UPDATE-- when I flash my wireless card with apple vendor and product id's using linux,

the card get's detected as airport extreme but sleep doesn't work at all. If I flash the

3rd party id's sleep works again but with the same problem.

Hi yioulas,

I also have a W870CU, and would like to run snow leopard on it  !

I have used ##### to install SL (10.6.1) with no problems.

Updated to 10.6.6 and applied ##### to install Chameleon and ##### (no DSTD).

After I restart without the ##### DVD, the system doesn't start anymore...

I read in your post that your system runs good with the custom DSDT !!

Could you share this DSDT with me ? :)
