HDMI and DVI signal

My laptop (10.6.6) with 5870 mobility is connected to 2 monitors. The signal on the monitors is mirrored. How could I separate these signals to the three indiviual monitors?

Question: Enable DVI-out for 5870 mobility

So I've tried something I thought might work. Before I power up the laptop I connect both HDMI and DVI to two separate monitors. When I start the laptop, and OSX is fully loaded (desktop), both HDMI and DVI output work. (+ the internal lvds display) The only problem is, the screens is clones. Although mirroring isn't applied. Who can help me?
3. I've got a my 5870 mobility working, following a tutorial (http://www.insanelym...howtopic=249669) It involves using a boot and rom file from another person. Internal screen works on high resolution. HDMI or DVI work (DVI using a trick involving rebooting with cable connected) But these outputs don't work simultaneous. It is not possible to have all three (internal, HDMI, DVI working simultaneous? Or maybe because the person has a slightly different type of 5870 (VGA instead of DVI)? Are there ways to test or edit settings to get the DVI and HDMI output to working simultaneous?
4. Hi Guys, This is how mine com.apple.Boot.plist looks: Does anybody got the VGA/DVI port working?
5. @stefauresi : try this bootflag in chameleon : “Graphics Mode”=”1920x1200x32@60Hz” including the ""
6. I'll try to explain in some more detail: First try to get as much as info on your hardware: type of audio chip, motherbord, lan, wifi, etc. Try to find a DSDT file made for your laptop, this will make it run extra stable and utilizes more hardware. Use ##### to install a fresh retail copy of snow leopard (also use the ##### DVD for first boot into snow leopard) Apply the 10.6.6 combo update from apple.com Start #####, apply ##### OR userDSDT option (if last one place the dsdt.alm on desktop) + system utilities select drivers that you need for your audio/lan/PS2 keyboard and trackpad/wifi select the programs: ShowAllFiles and kexthelper. Apply #####. Run program ShowAllFiles --> click SHOW Copy Olda's boot file (Post#8) Goto the root of you harddrive, delete the current boot file, paste in Olda's bootfile Run program ShowAllFiles --> click HIDE Copy Olda's rom file, paste it in the root/Extra/ directory (Post#7) Open the com.apple.Boot.plist currently located in the Extra/ directory (not Olda's plist) with textedit Compare your plist with that from olda's. You'll notice Olda's file contains 2 rows containing useAtiROM and Yes, copy these 2 lines into your plist file (make sure it does nog messes up the structure) Save the plist file. Reboot.

[SOLVED] My ALC888B Finally Working

I also use the same combination : edited DSDT (HDEF parts) + ALC8xxHDA + rollback The headphones port on my laptop doesn't work (ALC888) do you have any idea?
8. Me to! My W870CU also has the ALC888. I't easy to get it to work with #####... ALC8xxHDA + NoneDSDT HDA enabler --> ALC888 But that doenst unilize the full possibilities of the device. Only internal speakers work. I need all the jacks to work . And so do you I think?
9. I hereby confirm my HD5870 is W O R K I N G Great stuff ! Only that DVI-out isn't working. Internal + HDMI-out works great. I did not use the chameleon provided, but did a 50/50 combination with #####. First clean install -> 10.6.6 combo update -> ##### + necessary kexts -> swapped the boot file -> copies the rom file to /extra/ -> synced the plist file from Olde with the current --(restart)---> Screaming from joy
10. I have a Clevo W870CU laptop with i7 / Intel PM55 chipset / HD 5870 mobility card I did exactly what Olda written above. (I used the boot file form last post) But after restart my laptop doesnt boot anymore. Does the Extra folder need to contain more files than only the ati rom + com.apple.Boot.plist. For instance there is also a Extensions.mkext file in olda's zip file, which I haven't copied in. Should I install more kexts...? Like FakeSMC etc. ? Please help me
11. Yes please make a quick video with your webcam of phone and share it

Really weird issue with Sleep/Airport

Hi yioulas, I also have a W870CU, and would like to run snow leopard on it ! I have used ##### to install SL (10.6.1) with no problems. Updated to 10.6.6 and applied ##### to install Chameleon and ##### (no DSTD). After I restart without the ##### DVD, the system doesn't start anymore... I read in your post that your system runs good with the custom DSDT !! Could you share this DSDT with me ?
13. tried this? http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=249669
