motherboard- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128423

CPU- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16819115225

i know it wont have GFX and USB3 :( with OSX but it is going to be a mostly windows system with OSX as a experiment :D . has anyone tried this type of setup with 10.6.3 retail?

Ya I got what you said. Since it doesn't have a kext/driver or whatever, doesn't it just use VESA mode. I have a old (really old) card that I know isn't supported but it still works just no acelleration and low resolution.
