Shutdown kext for iatkos 10.5.7?

iatkos v5i updatedd to 10.5.7 fails to shutdown properly, although the cpu is 'halted' the power button is still lighted and a cold shutdown is needed. Anybody got the kext to fix this? Thanks.

I'm actually wondering about this too. I found in one thread that this seems to be just an issue related to the Nvidia drivers. If I could find something to fix the shutdown/restart issue I'd pretty much have my OS X install running perfectly.

Use EvoReboot.kext or OpenHaltRestart.kext.

 

Or use a bootloader with FACP restart fix implemented, such as AsereBLN 1.1.9:

Thanks for the reply, but I tried installing both kexts with Kext Helper but neither has worked. It still 'shuts down' in the same way. In fact, EvoReboot didn't even manage to load during boot (error text in yellow).

 

It would be much appreciated if you could explain more about fixing it in the DSDT.
