Cheapest Motherboard that works?

Try and pick one up on eBay they are far cheaper I managed to get an Intel D915GUX for £20 or about $40 this is because not many manufacturers make the older more compatible chip-sets like that of the D915GUX and therefore charge more for the newer Motherboards, do some research on a motherboard you want (i would suggest an intel one) and find one on eBay and get bidding....

Yeah, the 915s are the more affordable and very compatible intel based boards. Mine was about $80 new, and still seems to be around that price over a year later http://www.xpcgear.com/915gmfr.html

 

Everything works out of the box except the ide raid controller I think (I don't use it, it's noticably slow under any OS). The sound comes out of the wrong port, but still works fine...no audio in though.
