Hi Guys,

this is my first call for help so I will try and provide as much info as possible. I started trying to get my hackintosh about a week ago and slowly getting there but i have now hit a brick wall.

spec:

* Intel DQ45CB motherboard (sound working(VoodooHDA) and lan working with kext install(Intel82566MM))

* Nvidia 8800GT 512mb (working EFI string :)

* Intel Q6600

* 4x Samsung 1GB DDR2 800MHZ

* Cheap ass keyboard

* Razer copperhead mouse

* Mac osx snow leopard 10.6.2 hazard edition

problem:

1. Cant get my Razer copperhead mouse to work/ be identified by mac osx.

2. my USB wont plug and play id unplug the keyboard plug it back in and it wont pick it up again at all.

I have tried various fixes/guides and nothinging. I read somehwhere if you disable USB legacay support its meant to help. My mouse would light up and be able to move it around the screen although the system would not recognize my keybard at all. I have installed various kexts that are meant to "fix" the problem but still getting now where. Before anyone says search the forums I have and getting no where.

Once I have my DQ45CB fully working with hackintosh i intend on creating a guide for others with the same motherboard to install mac osx

Please could somone help me out/ point me in the right direction because im really stuck. Thank you all so much i look forward to reading your replys.

Edit: please let me know if i need to supply additonal infomation

Hi, im using deathadder on my hp 6820s Ideneb osx 10.5.7 with no problems.

I tried some other distros, and on some of them my usb devices wouldn't work correctly, for example system would only recognize usb disk after restart.

So i dont think it's razer issue, more likely you have to try some other kexsts, distros etc, unfortunately im mac noob, so i cant help you any more...

  • 1 month later...

I got usb working with com.apple.Boot.plist edit, except for shutdown / sleep.

If i try to, it simply reboot, so there is no way atm to shutdown by software.

I also see that usb are recognized as Expansion Slot.

Is that the issue?

Is there any working kext or workaround or do I need to edit DSDL file... and how?

Thanks in advance,

Maurizio
