Tattoo
Hi guys, I succesfully installed Leopard 10.5.6 on my system with the following specs Intel D945PVS Mobo Ati Radeon Sapphire X800XL (Don't have QE/CI but can change resolution which is good enough) Pentium D830 processor (2X3GHz) 1Gb or 533MHz DDR2 Ram I needed to use the callisto patch to be able to change my resolution, and I used voodooHDA to enable my audio etc. During the install of Leopard I also had to select PS2 drivers for my keyboard, otherwise i wouldnt work.. I want to try and install Snow Leopard but I'm not sure it will work, can you help me out/give me tips? And maybe point me to a good guide that can help me? Thanks a lot guys Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/217158-can-i-install-retail-on-this-system/ Share on other sites
mdnz01
You'd need a hacked kernel since the Pentium D isn't vanilla supported by Snow Leopard. I'd say give a distro like Hazard a try. (There isn't really a universal guide to install Mac OS X on your PC, since everyone's PC is different) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/217158-can-i-install-retail-on-this-system/#findComment-1461030 Share on other sites
Tattoo
Thanks for the reply! Ok I will try the Hazard release, is the legacy kernel the way to go for me then? mdnz01
Everybody get's that error, don't worry about it. Just reboot your PC manually and you should be up and running, depening on the installation method you used.
