    AppleACPIPlatfrom Kernel Panic

Anyone that wanted to know. Completely reinstalled, then applied the legacy kernel update package (http://www.kexts.com/view/634-legacy_kernel-10.5.0.pkg.html) and then before restarting applied the official combo 10.6.5 update. Everything is working fine now.

    AppleACPIPlatfrom Kernel Panic

Ok so I found out I had to redelet SleepEnabler.kext in Extra/Extensions for my osx86 to boot. I did this and then I got the still waiting for root device error. So I tried setting my HDD settings to AHCI to no avail, it said something about DSMOS (?) end then moments after a lot of text flashed by and my pc reboot itself. I'm going to completely reinstall right now and give it another go.
  3. I installed 10.6.2 on my system using leohazards image, and when I tried to update to 10.6.5 as it is explained on his website (http://leohazard.com/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=1243) I tried to restart and I got this kernel panic: com.apple.driver.AppleACPIPlatform (1.3.5) dependency: com.apple.iokit.IOPCIFamily (2.6.3) dependency: com.apple/iokit.IOACPIFamily (1.3.0) I read somewhere it was my kernel so I downloaded this one: http://www.kexts.com/view/626-10.6.5_legacy_kernel_10.5.0_[32-64bit].html I had to replace it in windows using MacDrive, but still no luck, I still got the same kernel panic. I've searched the internet but have yet to find a solution, does anyone know what I can do to stop this KP?

install dvd will not boot. ideas?

This may be a long shot, but I had a similar problem once (just the dvd booting only up to one point, don't remember if it was the same as your loading of the mkext though). My problem was my dvd-writer on my desktop which wrote bad dvds, leaving them to get stuck midway in the boot. Maybe thats your problem too? You can try to boot from the DVD on another laptop, and see if its a problem with the laptop or your DVD.

    Install failed

Hi guys I'm trying to install SL on my pc with the following specs intel d945pvs mobo intel pentium d830 (2x3Ghz) processor ati radeon sapphire x800xl 1gb ddr2 memory I have 1 HDD with windows 7 on a first partition, just files on the second and a third one to install SL on. I had leopard installed on the third partition but I wanted to install SL on it, so i booted up hazard's dvd and selected the pcj kernel which is reported to work with my processor. I erase the third partition and select mac os extended (journaled), and start installing SL on it. The installer completes but then an install failed warningshows up, with the extra note "Installer could not start up from the volume "os x" please restart an try reinstalling." I first thiught it might be because i have mbr partition scheme, but the installer would have not let me install to the disk if i needed guid.. What could make this error come up? Ive searched google and the internet and I've found nothing..
  6. I did some research amd finally installed using the pcj kernel which was reported working with pentium d's! After 3 install faileds, I decided to post here. 8. Hi guys, I succesfully installed Leopard 10.5.6 on my system with the following specs Intel D945PVS Mobo Ati Radeon Sapphire X800XL (Don't have QE/CI but can change resolution which is good enough) Pentium D830 processor (2X3GHz) 1Gb or 533MHz DDR2 Ram I needed to use the callisto patch to be able to change my resolution, and I used voodooHDA to enable my audio etc. During the install of Leopard I also had to select PS2 drivers for my keyboard, otherwise i wouldnt work.. I want to try and install Snow Leopard but I'm not sure it will work, can you help me out/give me tips? And maybe point me to a good guide that can help me? Thanks a lot guys
  9. Hi guys, Did anyone manage to get this to work with Leopard? Or does anyone know how to do this please? Almost got everything working except video! And is performance affected by the QE/CI? Or doen't it improve things drastically? I would already be happy if I could set the resolution to be higher..

  11. I have searched a lot on these forums for methods to get my sound working. It is an onboard soundcard, C-Media CMI 8738. Motherboard is Intel D945PVS. All I find are drivers or something for tiger 10.4.3 etc, but not for leopard 10.5.2. Can anyone help me please?
  12. I am now installing on my desktop, but what should I select at the customize screen? Or can I just install without selecting anything and patch later on? Edit: I decided not to select anything because i didn't know what I should select. the installation stops about halfway, my computer restarts and boots into Leopard! Nice But the sound doesnt work, what should i do with that? and I can't change my resolution, and internet doesn't work... Anyone?
  13. I have to create a partition for Mac os x, but can I create; 1 NTFS partition for windows, 1 Fat32 for Mac Os x install and 1 Fat32 to exchange files between mac osx and windows xp? I would like to do this to have all my music files in mac to. But will it work?

I looked in a lot of topics on this site but they haven't brought me much further. Motherboard: Intel D945PVS CPU: Intel Pentium D830 Graphical card: Ati Radeon X800XL Sapphire I looked up al these parts with the wiki, and i think they are compatible. but which guide should I use? And also, can I install Mac on the same HDD as windows is now on? Or do I have to buy another one? I hope you can help me, Jan
