hiqu Posted April 20, 2010 Share Posted April 20, 2010 I treated myself to Dell U2711 and now I can't use that great monitor with Leopard because only VGA out seems to work and it gives me 2048x1152 only. The monitor is capable of 2560x1440. I get the full resolution through DVI (and VGA I think. I need to double check) if I boot into Windoze 7. Currently, I'm using Chamelon RC4 with Graphics Enabler set to Yes. I tried NVEnable64 and EFI string method using various NVCAP values I gleaned from google. No luck. For some reason, the DVI out doesn't work at all in 10.6. I tried both HP advanced docking station and the regular one. I'm trying to use this screen and the highest resolution that works is 1920x1080. 2560x1440 looks all bitmapped, its like the card can't power it. This screen is for my gigabyte hack with 8600gt.
