1. Thanks! Will give it a try and post the results soon
2. No one has seen this error before ??
3. First use any old card and get the osx boot on your system in safe mode for example. Then play with 5670. My installation method was based vanilla kernel. Installed 10.6.6 first. Updated it with 10.6.7 combo. Used ##### 3.1 and ATI experimental bootloader and few other kexts (fakesmc etc). And, set GraphicsEnabler=Yes. Thats it.
4. 10.6.7 64 bit with Kabyl boot. GraphicsEnabler = Yes No other kexts HD5670 works but during boot, the system stuck at "DEVICE IN SLOT-1" Then if I press the power button, it goes to sleep and if I press the power button again, the system wakes up, everything works fine. Any ideas ?
5. I don't think that list is useful. It lists almost all nvidia/ati cards but if you see the replies, many of them don't work properly ie. no cuda/opencl support and so on.
6. more cleanup. Now, I have only fakesmc.kext in Extra folder and keyboard/realtek/voodoohda in S/L/E. I guess #####/##### installs PCEFI? I switched to Chameleon RC5. Also, I use DSDT database from Tonymac's DSDT database.
7. More cleanup. I've Fakesmc, ioahciblockstorageinjector, jmicroata, nullcpupowermangement, platformuuid and smcitecontroller only. Removed all the rest. Under S/L/E, I've ApplePS2Controller, PS2nub, voodoohda and realtekrtl81xx. Thats all. All work fine including external usb BT dongle. System shutsdown, reboots fine. The kernel.log looks clean. No errors or warnings.
8. Alright! I have 10.6.4 vanilla kernel running on mine! Aerocool M40 MicroATX case, Core i7 860, Corsair 750TX PSU, MSI 9500GT, GSKILL 12800 DDR3 4GB I've another hacintosh (HP8530W) so I installed 10.6.4 on the new HD using OSInstall.mpeg method, installed ##### (##### option) on top of it. Used the extensions and dsdt.aml from here. That is it! I did switch to AHCI, optimized defaults and HPET 64 bit in the BIOS. Now, I've find unused extensions in the Extra folder and remove them. I don't like unnecessary kexts around. So far, removed NVEnabler and JMicro36x*.kexts. The GraphicsEnabler option seems to work fine. I get full resolution (2560x1440) on my 27" dell monitor on the first bootup itself. Also, Audio and Sleep don't seem to work now. Thanks guys! update: since I used the extensions.zip above I removed all LegacyHDA*, LegacyAppleRTC, LegacyIOAHCI* and Ev0reboot.kext. The system booted up just fine. I also removed RealTek100L? also. Instead I use RealTek18xx.kext. For Audio, using VoodooHDA and works great!
9. Hi guys, please confirm if vanilla kernel (10.6.x) is supported on this mobo?

NVIDIA Quadro FX 570M on Leopard

can you post the efi string (8600) you used for this experiment?
11. This works on gulftown 6 core processor based workstation HP Z400
12. I'm using EVGA 9500GT.
13. I've U2711. It works with my 10.5.8 build on a desktop. I get the full 2560x1440 resolution (DVI). However, with my HP8530W laptop, I can use it only on VGA (2048x1152 only). DVI out doesn't work. Have played with lot of injectors, NVCAP etc no luck so far.

NVIDIA Quadro FX 570M on Leopard

I wish various developers who developed NVInject, NVKush, Natit, NVEnabler and others come together and work on a single kext and release it to open source. I'm sure their collective knowledge could result in a single solution for all the Hacintosh graphics problems. None of their kexts are open source so it is hard to see what they have done and learn and extend it. I just installed Ubuntu 10.4 which comes with Nouveau drivers for Nvidia. I'm trying to see if I can learn anything from it to hack mac drivers. Checkout the nvclock utility from their website which lets you modify the nvidia cards (overclocking, changing ids etc)
