envoys
I am trying to get 10.6.3 v1.1 installed but everytime I run the update it gets near the end and ends up with a kernel panic stating "AppleSMCPDRC::start - unrecognized device type.... ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin/AppleSMCPDRC.cpp" than a whole bunch of stuff scrolls about Backtrace CPU 0 doube panic, 4 potential args in stack. I have tried vanille, snowosx, leohazard etc just for testing purposes and everyone of them does this. I am running an HP G62 laptop with a core i3 330m processor and intel hd graphics, 4gb ram, booted system with "busratio=20 cpus=1 -v" Any help would be greatly appreciated. vale4674
(moving post from 10.5 subforum) can someone send me these kexts: GeForce.kext GeForce7xxxGLDriver.bundle GeForce8xxxGLDriver.bundle GeForceGA.plugin GeForceVADriver.bundle I read herethat i need old kexts if i upgrade to 10.6.2: http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.ph...Pavilion_6187ea (NOTE: If you upgrade to 10.6.2 with exactly same card as this GeForce 7400 Go , then u must use old NVIDIA KEXTS, or u will get Kernel Panic.) Thing is, I installed 10.6.2 frist so I don't have old kexts. HP Pavilion dv6180ea nVidia GeForce Go 7400 256MB EDIT: I need those kexts from 10.6.0 (or 10.6.1 if it will work) thanks! ZackMacAttack
I am having the same problem with any update past 10.6.3 (10.6.3, 10.6.4, 10.6.5) At the end of the Install it will simply say (You need to restart your computer, push and hold the power button....) No KP Details... Is there any advancements on this issue? EDIT: I have fixed this issue. I simply Cleared the Cache and Repaired Permissions. The Update Crashed at the end when trying to register the new mach_kernel. But this does not affect the functionality of the Update.
