ghajini08
hi, i try to install SL on this laptop using empire EFi because my processor and i only can boot the dvd if i use the "busratio=16" flag with that i can boot the dvd alone or with empire EFI but after that i got this kernel panic : http://img138.imageshack.us/i/08042010044.jpg/ http://img502.imageshack.us/i/09042010046.jpg/ "with -v" thanks for any help . ps: sorry for bad english. 1) try this. please do not boot with dvd drive as first device....let your hdd boot up first.....in your bootloader as usual u should see all the other drives + the dvd drive.....now select it and it should boot fine..... 2) if not...i am hoping you have leopard 10.5 installed.....boot into it....go to disk utility.... then create an 8gb partition ..... restore your snow leopard dvd dmg to this partition...... and then go into that parition....now go to /system/installation/packages/osxinstall.mpkg the osintall.mpkg is what you need to run ..... and just follow the onscreen instructions....voila!!! 3) after restoring the dmg...restart and select in your bootloader the restored drive.....it should now work without kp and it will be fine..... i will be writing a guide on retail install just using chameleon 2 rc3 ... that simple but it will only be out next month after my exams are over let me know if this works....it did for me.....
