-Intel core i7 860

-Ati 5770

Every bootloader failed, so i've tried empireefi.. But there's a but, it say me:

Patched DMI Table

ACPI Table not found: DSDT.aml

Starting Darwin x86

Press Any Key to Continue

Then goes on to something like a Kernel panic, "Unable to find driver for this platform: \"ACPI\".

So i've searched on google etc and i want try to create my personal DSDT.aml tried several times to understand this tutorial:

But nothing, i don't able to understand what the hell i must do to create this file ._.

Anyone can help me?

here we go,

if u can download Everest Ultimate (unregistered version), get it setup then after launching it right click on the status bar (rights), u will get an option to dump your ACPI Tables.

another method consists of using a linux distribution (live-cd also possible). If u want to do it this way let me know.

last and best method is using this iasl.exe.zip and run it from windows console. further on this ? ask me

Hi man, first of all many many thanks! And sorry for the late, i've missing the hopes.

Anyway which method you feel to advice me?

This is my everest report:

already responded to this. go with iasl, unpack it, run from windows console typing this

iasl -g

then post the file here

btw: with linux u can dump much more staff (do this later when u accommodate your self with DSDT)

If u feel satisfied with my reply, maybe u could click on my profile and rate me (by clicking on the sterns) ;)

please try re-compressing those files in zip format

You don't need IORegistryExplorer or Mac OS to extract, decompile, patch and compile your DSDT.

You can do everything in Windows, or even from a Linux live CD.

After reading this thread I'm still not sure where exactly in the process you're stuck.

What i can use instead IO R/E on mac, under windows?

That depends on what you need it for. If it's for looking up PCI device addresses and device IDs, the Windows Device Manager is a big help. Everest is more detailed though.

My ati 5770 is not supported, no?

No, not until Apple starts to use ATI 5xxx series cards.

dear Lilith,

I've taken a look into the .dsl file posted (u only need this one for now), and seems that u have 7 warnings. so it wouldn't cause a problem to compile.

btw: try using this app on osx (that would help u compile the .dsl file into .aml, and do some fixes by ur self). there's also a version for windows over here it is helpful to read out your ACPI tables. later on, try reading the ACPI Specifications. this would help u go further.
