fuzzywasaduck2
Hey guys, Really struggling to find solutions to my non-sleeping problems What's the likely cause? I am using the sleepenabler.kext, but still no joy Cheers Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/213233-snow-leopard-sleep-issue/ Share on other sites
fuzzywasaduck2
No one? Could it be a gfx issue? I've put a string for my 6800 GT in the com.apple.boot.plist - 'About the computer' correctly identifies Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/213233-snow-leopard-sleep-issue/#findComment-1431446 Share on other sites

mdnz01
Could you try using this DSDT.aml? http://www.kexts.com/view/254-ga-p35c-ds3r...(rev._2.0).html Place it in your root directory and reboot, and check if the problem persists. Damn - problem does still persist!! Update though... Just removed the string for my GFX card from the com.apple.boot.plist - the screen remains active, but I can hear the hard drives power down and my external soundcard switch off. Crucially... Things come back to life after I move the mouse Any more thoughts? Also... I don't have an Mkext file - I had one in 10.5 - is that normal? And I didn't put anything in the Extra folder myself but 4 items have appeared - will try removing... see what happens Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/213233-snow-leopard-sleep-issue/#findComment-1431511 Share on other sites

tdtran1025
It seems like your setup is not ideal- by that I meanthe combination of PCEFI and Chameleon. Try this link: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...=201850&hl= It should fix your sleep issue among many other things. Also try to search and read how to reformat the boot sector. I have an EFI partition that shows up when I use diskutil list in terminal. Sorry for idiotness, but it's been a while since I've done this stuff - quickly forget Cheers Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/213233-snow-leopard-sleep-issue/#findComment-1431580 Share on other sites
