vercetti Posted March 7, 2010 Share Posted March 7, 2010 hey guys! i posted my question in the buying recommendations area a few days ago but i thought i'd post it here since i didn't get any answers... is anyone here running snow leopard 10.6.2 with an i5 or i7 cpu and a wireless pci card? i'm having troubles finding a wifi pci card that will work with the mentioned combination so hopefully someone can help me out here! the TP Link 851 and 951 cause kernel panics with i5/i7 (see wiki project). other cards don't have drivers yet that hopefully will appear with 10.6.3 (like the Gigabyte GN-WP30N-RH). the TP link 651 might work (mentioned in the wiki project but i'm not certain if it works with i5/i7 or if it would cause KP there too). somehow it ain't easy but there's gotta be someone out there who has one working! thx, vercetti. MHW Posted March 7, 2010 Share Posted March 7, 2010 I have an ASUS WL-138G v2 wireless card which runs great on my i7 hackintosh under SL 10.6.2. It only supports wireless g and wireless b, though. PsicheAlCubo Posted November 18, 2010 Share Posted November 18, 2010 I see the thread is quite old..but I'm really looking for the same thing: having great trouble with my TL-WN951N by TP-LINK on my hackintosh (costant KP).....so...as it seems that nobody's gonna fix it..I'm thinkin bout buying a new one. Since the ASUS adaptor suggested seems to be out of stock mostly everywhere...anybody else has got any luck with any other adaptor & core i5 750??
