mdnz01
I have a P55A-UD3 (which is almost the same). If you use 10.6.0 you need a modified kernel, so make sure you replace mach_kernel in the root of the installation folder with this one: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=JP2OZ01F Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/211309-problem-of-installation/#findComment-1414826 Share on other sites
cptcactus
thank you. I put the match_kernel in the root of my boot cd? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/211309-problem-of-installation/#findComment-1414838 Share on other sites
mdnz01
thank you. I put the match_kernel in the root of my boot cd? No, the best you can do is to restore your DVD to a USB stick. After you've done that, remove mach_kernel from the USB stick and use the one I provided. mdnz01
After you've done that install chameleon or another bootloader on the USB stick and place a dsdt.aml on your USB stick as well. I recommend using this guide (worked for me as well) http://tonymacx86.blogspot.com/2009/11/os-...ing-retail.html Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/211309-problem-of-installation/#findComment-1414889 Share on other sites
