I just got a Dell Latitude D620 and figured I would throw OSX on it. I am having some problems becasue the install seems to go through just fine but once I reboot I can hear the wonderful tune playing but my screen is black. I have tried using GMA 950 driver and EFI string and neither seems to get me going.

If you want to have a screen back - boot in single user mode and delete the Graphics.kext.

boot with "-s"

rm -rf /system/library/extensions/AppleIntelGMA* ##delete Intel Graphic kext

rm -rf /system/library/extensions/NV* ##delete Nvidia Graphic kext

rm -rf /System/Library/Extensions/GeForce.kext

rm -rf /System/Library/Extensions/Ge*.kext

rm -rf /system/library/extensions/ATI* ##delete Ati Graphic kext

rm -rf /system/library/extensions.mkext

After this - you should can boot and try to install the right kexts for gma.

When I do -s I have no keyboard. I tried to go in through the install and choose terminal but extensions.mkext exists but no Extensions folder

External keyboard fixed it but files are read only

I have got the same error with my MSI GX623. Install went fine. When I try to load MAC OS X after the apple loading screen I get a black screen with music playing.

I tried booting with -s but it hangs after /root telling me my firewire is not good and it hangs. So I cant delete the graphics.kext. I only installed the Ati hd one. Using the iatkosv7 image.

Thanks in advance.
