naf456
hello there. I have been using OSX86 for about 2 years now on the same motherboard, but recently when it blown, i sent it back to gigabyte to get it repaired and when i got it back, all my windows 7 works great, so does linux but i had to reinstall Mac OSX 10.5.7. i put the disk into the machine and in verbose, it came up with an error, "Still Waiting for Root Device". i have moved my HDD to all the SATA ports, i have done the same to my DVD-rom, i've checked and unchecked all my BIOS options, but it still ain't getting past "Still waiting for root device" i have been 2 weeks trying to sort it out. whats my problem? there is 2 thing it could be. i Recently bought a iomega External HDD, but i have turned if off while booting the disk and still no go. or when my motherboard came back. the WHOLE BIOS was different. it's the same MOBO for sure, but there are some option that was available on my old Mobo then this one. any help is praise highly. kd4lsy
Though I don't have much to say, did you try -v, -x, -s, or -f? Otherwise, I am interested in the results of this thread as the BIOS of my laptop doesn't have any options for everything that is required for BIOS setup on a hackintosh.... Update: I resolved this issue with booting back from my initial install DVD (iatkos v7) and basically installing any SATA/IDE drivers/controllers available on the DVD. I suggest you do the same.
