3ng1and
This week I am going out to buy a new Wireless Card for my laptop, and so I dont screw anything up, does anyone have any suggestions for a good card that I can pick up and install with 10.4.7 with ease? I really dont want to go back to windows, but I really need to use wireless on my notebook. Thanks in advance. Auggie
I wish I could help, but I'm at the same point as you are. I'd love to go get a card for my HP dv1000 notebook that currently has the Intel 2200b/g wireless card in the Mini PCI slot. I've got JaS 10.4.6 --> 10.4.7 update running and I am not sure which Mini PCI card is compatible! here is a VERY VERY rough list I have compiled from all my readings on the forum so far. I haven't researched many of them yet so I don't know a thing about them, I just saw people saying in other topics and posts that these cards worked, and I checked signatures and stuff to find what version OS X they hadn and these came from 10.4.6 or 10.4.7 I'm pretty sure... Broadcom BCM94309MP 802.11 a/b/g Mini PCI WiFi card Trendnet TEW-441PI The other two I've found also the same way on the forum but not confirmed in OS X 10.4.6/7 are: dell DW1450 broadcom 4309 I hope this helps and anyone else who is kind enough to help, thanks a lot!
