Marby
Is there a way to use the dsdt to inject the device id for 48xx cards instead of using ATI4800Controller.kext? Marby
Thank you so much that was very helpful at least you pointed me in the right direction but I'm not sure whether i need graphics enabler or not Russian to English translation I decided to take this issue in a separate topic, because in a branch with iron complete silence: ( Actually, in сабже described problem. Under Leopard graphics card to start up any of the methods (injector, string, DSDT), at the same speed over the last two methods was simply потрясная compared with that of the injector. In Snegoparde sort of delirium is obtained: many write that like everything is working as good as before, and I just start up injector EvOEnabler:-S All I have found examples plist-but for the video card does not give a normal result. Depending on the filling of the parameters on the screen can be seen broken or gray boxes, or just a blank screen (with the turbine on the map is roaring like crazy:-O), or at best desktop view, but in such a mixed form that almost anything not understand. Maybe someone with such experienced and knows how to overcome? Nemeryannom I should be grateful for the help. smile.gif -------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------- ONE SWALLOW (great, just a huge THANK Brucelee-secret): fully working (but nekhilyy size:)) code to insert in the DSDT with embedded ROM on the video 4890 (priattachen or take here) -------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------- TWO SWALLOW:) (thanks to user x-di) Program rom_dsdt_converter.exe (under windose!. Works well under CrossOver-ohm;)) for converting ROM video format to insert in the DSDT (here) + fully working section of the video card (ATY_Dsts_sample.txt), in which one must insert the resulting bin-image . With this DSDT should work Dual DVI, DVI-> VGA, Dual Display, sleep (here). .................................................. .................................................. . ....... Information for those who do not know where to paste it all: a reference to a ready answer .................................................. .................................................. . ....... IMPORTANT! For those who do not want or can not be soared with DSDT or do not know what it is:) already have a ready solution: boot from Netkasa. End at the moment (23/11/2009) version pc_efi boot 10.5 already makes itself Inject the desired properties, including BIN IMAGE card. Simply add com.apple.Boot.plist GraphicsEnabler parameter and set its value to Yes. N00bishMacer
This seems like a great way to go. The question l have is that l have 2 x ASUS ATI EAH4870 graphics cards, now the Graphics enabler only really works with a single card. Is there any way to use this method and include both video card details in the DSDT which will allow for both cards to be visable in Snow Leopard. In my current system the secondary card is seen by Mac OS X 10.5.8 and detected in System Information as a Display Card, but with Snow Leopard it turns the second card off on boot, so it isn't visible by IORegistryExplorer or the operating system. The Gigabyte M/B l have is a GA-P35-DS3P, l was wondering if anyone has tried this method with 2 ATI cards in the one machine, including 2 of the same model.
