DrivinWest
I'm having a strange issue with my machine. When I try to execute certain programs, namely Azureus and Call of Duty 2 from the Finder they show up in the dock for a moment and then disappear without the program opening. Anybody have any idea as to what the issue could be? BTW, they never worked so the issue must have been related to either my install or 10.4.7 upgrade or one of the various hacks I've done since (disable BeamSync, fix restart, etc.). Any help is much appreciated! BRP
That usually means they are pretty much crashing the moment they load. The causes could be from more than one place. Does the crash reporter come up? Are you using the Azureus unibin? The PPC version supposedly doesn't run on Intel Macs at all (but I haven't tested or looked into that). I think CoD2 is unibin, so that wouldn't be the problem there, I guess. DrivinWest
Are you using the Azureus unibin? The PPC version supposedly doesn't run on Intel Macs at all (but I haven't tested or looked into that). Bingo! The unibin Azureus fixed that problem. I had used the Azureus PPC version before with no problem so I figured I'd just download the same one again. THanks for the tip! reinstall QT 7.11 will fix it You are correct! QT 7.12 downloaded directly from Apple fixed it. I removed the previous install first as well. Many thanks fellas.
