cyclonefr
hi, this msg goes first to JAS, ive decided to change my Northwood for a Prescott SSE3 guess what, no more performance ! even using mach kernel SSE3 patched it doesnt change a thing, still slow running COD2 in 1024 automatic textures. Compare to mbp which runs it like X360 ! i dont understand how it's possible...as uve all reported it was running smooth! i cant buy the fact that core duo give twice power ! VooD
Many people is not able to see the difference between 30 and 60 fps, and what´s smooth for someone can be unplayable for other. Anyway, don´t expect good framerates using osx86 specially using your motherboard, as OSX doesn´t have AGP support and runs agp cards in pci mode...that´s 1/2 AGP 1x Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/20934-sse3-is-no-use-or-wtf/#findComment-138729 Share on other sites
cyclonefr
hum u think the lost of performance comes from AGP instead of PCI -E? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/20934-sse3-is-no-use-or-wtf/#findComment-138924 Share on other sites
